Associate Professor of Translation and Interpreting. His research deals with the reception of scientific knowledge in nineteenth-century Spain and with scientific and technical terminology (agri-food and jewellery).
Francisco Luque Janodet holds a PhD in Languages and Cultures from the University of Córdoba. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences, Philosophy, Geography and Translation and Interpreting (Translation and Interpreting Section) at the University of Córdoba, where he teaches specialised, film and publishing translation on the degree in Translation and Interpreting and on the master’s degree in Specialised Translation. He has also taught in the Department of French Philology at the University of Seville and in the French Philology Section of the University of Córdoba, where he taught French language and literature and specialised translation.
Dr Luque also collaborates with the GIUV2013-151 “Histradcyt” research group at the Universitat de València and is a member of the Language and Science Thematic Network.
His research focuses on the reception of scientific knowledge in nineteenth-century Spain through translation, on tourism translation, and on scientific and technical translation and terminology.
