Lecturer in Translation and Interpreting with teaching experience in Spain, France and Italy. His research deals with humanistic and literary translation (francophone African literature), terminology and specialised translation.
Manuel Gómez Campos holds a PhD in Languages and Cultures and lectures in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Córdoba (Spain). A graduate in Translation and Interpreting, he completed the master’s degree in Specialised Legal and Business Translation at the same university, as well as the Master Didactique des Langues FLE at the Université Littorale Côte d’Opale (ULCO). He has university teaching experience in three countries: Spain, France and Italy. His main lines of work are humanistic and literary translation — specifically the translation of African women’s literature — intercultural translation, terminology, interpreting and specialised translation.
He works as a translator, interpreter and localiser of tourism and technical websites into French and English, and collaborates with the media outlet África Mundi and with the Instituto Superior de Estudios Lingüísticos y Traducción (ISTRAD).
