PhD candidate and lecturer at the University of Córdoba. She sits on the TRADITUR conference committee. Her research deals with veterinary, tourism and agri-food translation.
Mª Esther Gómez Pulgarín is a PhD candidate in Languages and Cultures at the University of Córdoba, where she is also an Interim Lecturer in Translation and Interpreting. A graduate in Translation and Interpreting and in English Studies from the University of Córdoba, she completed the master’s degree in Specialised Translation at the same institution. She has worked as a French language assistant and as a translator of winemaking texts (ES–EN).
She has taken part in the projects and initiatives of the HUM-1108 TRADIES group since its beginnings and sits on the organising committee of the TRADITUR International Conference, one of the group’s flagship activities. She has published in specialised journals and contributed book chapters with publishers listed in the Scholar Publishing Index (SPI). Her main lines of research are veterinary translation, the central focus of her doctoral thesis, along with tourism translation and agri-food translation.
