Pedro Humánez-Berral is an FPI predoctoral research fellow at the University of Cantabria, where he is completing his doctoral studies in Philology. His thesis focuses on affective factors in the acquisition of English pronunciation in bilingual and non-bilingual primary schools. His university teaching includes courses on English phonetics, the foundations of foreign language acquisition and English for specific purposes. As a graduate of the joint degree in Translation and Interpreting and English Studies (UCO), his research interests span not only second language acquisition and teaching but also translation and the training of translators and interpreters.
